Herbal remedies area a potent form of alternative acne treatments and are particularly appeal to persons who suffer from side effects from traditional acne medication.  The most reported problem with herbal acne remedies is that they usually take at least a month before having any positive effect. There have been few scientific studies undertaken to determine the effectiveness of herbal acne treatments. Home Remedies for Acne

Home acne remedies are a great alternative for pricey medicated acne treatments. Unfortunately, there are few scientific research findings as to the effectiveness of home acne remedies.  Like the herbal remedies, results are not as immediate as traditional acne medications, but home remedies have fewer side effects.

Natural Acne Treatments

Natural acne treatments also tend to take time before they are effective and are free of side effects.  As with other alternative acne treatments, there are few scientific studies.  Most research on acne treatment concerns synthetic treatments that are funded by the drug companies.
